I understand having a college named Augie. I graduated from Augustana. But our team was the Vikings. The Augsburg College "Auggies" doesn't conjure an image of anything strong, powerful, aggressive, or actually anything except for Augie Doggie, the 1960s cartoon character.
Their mascot is the Auggie the Eagle.
On the other hand, they have some nicely sculpted wrestlers

Augsburg, founded in 1869, is affiliated with the ELCA synod (liberal Lutherans), so it's got a Queer Pride Alliance, a Queer Indigenous and People of Color Club, and a Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies department with classes in queer studies.
Plus it's in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, about three miles from the gay neighborhood of Loring Park.
The campus is not all that, mostly urban glass and steel, but you can't have everything.
But...the Augie Auggies?
