Seeing the beefcake fest in Await Further Instructions, directed by Johnny Kevorkian, I wanted to see if there were further hunk-laden movies in his opus.
It was hard to find biographical details. Kevorkian was born in Cyprus in 1976, and moved to Australia with his family at age 3. He attended Hunters Hills High School in Australia, then went to the University of Westminister in England, where he got a degree in film studies.
Reading between the lines, one can see some prepared for super-stardom. He named himself "Johnny 'the Revolution' Kevorkian," got an agent, and managed to write, direct, and produce two shorts right after graduation, with the help of the British Film Council and Lost Tribe Productions:

The Wake (1997). No plot synopsis on IMDB, The British Film Council, or Lost Tribe productions, but according to Kevorkian's agent, it's a "gangster film" starring Mark Leadbetter and Martin Malone. Neither have particularly imposing physiques.
Seizures (1998). A middleweight boxing champion (Sean O'Neil) loses his wife. I couldn't find it online, but Sean O'Neil (left( is an Irish kickboxer, so no doubt there are scenes in the ring with his physique on display.

Then nothing for 10 years except an advertisement for Beefeater Gin and a short, "Enjoy Your Power." about a boy with telekinetic powers. Then Await Further Instructions.

Kevorkian has a short in post-production, The Transformation, starring Jared Rogers (left), and many projects in development; Bloodstorm (crime thriller), The Technician (science fiction), Smithereens (thriller), Hell's in Store (horror).
Uber-heterosexist plotlines about missing and kidnapped wives, coupled with beefcake at every turn. Is this guy gay, or just promoting muscles as a symbol of masculinity?

Then Kevorkian's opus is empty for about ten years, except for an occasional assistant director and "special thanks" credit. No doubt he hustled around, submitting scripts, like many people in creative occupations. An article in a Cypriot newspaper states that he's a foodie as well as a chef, a movie buff (naturally), and a cigar aficionado.
His next film was the British Film Council short Fractured (2007). Harry (Damien O'Hare) and the mysterious woman he met at the airport try to rescue his kidnapped wife. No physique shots in the film, but Damein O'Hare (left) isn't bad.
Then came a feature film, The Disappeared (2008), which Kevorkian wrote, directed, and produced. Matthew (Harry Treadaway) receives cryptic messages from his dead brother (Lewis Lempereur Palmer) and falls in love with the girl next door.
