A little research yielded the answers:
1. He does have arms. The camera angle was just weird.
2. He's weight-appropriate for Ancilla College, which appears to be a chubby chaser's paradise. Check out the bellies and bulges on these wrestlers.
Just one VPL in this group, but a lot of bellies.
The golf team: nice bulge, but again, rather big in the bulk department.
The basketball team is a little more lithe.

I never heard of the college, either, but it's in northern Indiana, a few miles west of Plymouth, on Highway 30, the route we took to visit our relatives two or three times a year.
Well hidden, and not very big: 400 students, one parking lot, one building, with the Poor Handmaids Convent housed in one wing.

I'm surprised that they have sports at all,but there's baseball, basketball, football, swimming, and wrestling. But their biggest sport is bowling -- so big that they actually recruit high school bowlers, and photograph the ones who pledge to come.
The bowlers are rather zaftig, too.
