What are you supposed to conclude about Nampa, Idaho, when whoever is in charge at Google Maps decided that its cover photo should depict a horrible, decrepit, boarded-up building? Is it an old abandoned insane asylum where a lot of murders happened a century ago? Or a historic jail that has fallen into decay, waiting for the Ghost Hunters crew to investigate?
The other photos uploaded to the Nampa, Idaho Google Maps page depict:
1. An airplane.
2. A park
3. Some snarling dogs
4. Some brush on fire.
5. Tulips
6. Ducks
7. Another airplane
But the scary decrepit building is never identified.
I heard a lot about Nampa when I was growing up in the Nazarene Church. There weren't many Nazarenes around -- only about 300,000 in the United States, none in my junior high, only one besides me at my high school. But we heard about three cities where Nazarenes were in the majority, Nazarene havens:1. Kansas City, Missouri.
2. Kankakee, Illinois.
3. Nampa, Idaho.
