St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland is unique for its Great Books Program: all students engage in "lively and unmediated discussion" of a series of the Great Books of Western Civilization:

Freshmen: Homer, Aeschylus, Sophocles, Herodotus, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle, Euclid, Lucretius, Ptolemey, Plutarch, Nichomachus, Lavoisier (Elements of Chemistry, 1789).  Wait -- Lavoisier to teach chemistry?  Haven't there been, like, advances in scientific knowledge since then?

Sophomores: The Hebrew Bible, Aristotle, Virgil, Tacitus, Plotinus, Aquinas, Dante, Chaucer,  Shakespeare, Descartes, Machiavelli, Copernicus (to learn astronomy: the Earth moves around the sun.  Got it?).

Juniors: Cervantes, Galileo, Pascal, Eliot, Huygens (to learn physics), Spinoza, Locke, Leibniz, Swift, Hume, Rousseau, Kant, Wordsworth.

Seniors: Goethe, Darwin, Hegel, Kafka, Marx, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Melville, Nietzsche, Baudelaire, Husserl, Dubois (The Souls of Black Folk), Einstein, Conrad, Yeats.

A really old school list.  90% male, 99% white, 80% European

Don't worry, there are regular classes also.  But not majors -- you study everything, from Greek to the Natural Sciences, in small seminar-style classes and preceptorships (one-on-one tutoring), and graduate with a B.A. in Liberal Arts.

Not exactly a place you would go for job training, although the college is quick to point to the alumni admitted to engineering and medical schools.

With all that intellectual ferment, you wouldn't expect athletics to be a top draw of the school, and you'd be right.

These are swimmer from another college who came to St. John's for a meet, and won.

A wrestler from another team, who beat them.

A wrestler who won, from another St. John's.

And a water polo team that has nothing to do with St. John's.

But come on, they don't have to be showing skin all the time.  Wouldn't you like to save some mystery for later?

Especially with the guy in the middle?
