The Beefcake of Clovis, California

We think of California as all liberal and gay-friendly, but the farther you get from the gay centers of West Hollywood and the Castro, the more rural, redneck, and mean it gets.  Clovis, California isn't exactly rural -- it's a northern suburb of Fresno with a population of 95,000.

Next to the campus of California State University, Fresno, so lots of students and faculty live there.







There are 8 high schools, all of which offer swimming and water polo.  I don't know why they're arranged by skin color.
